Parking issues

Room was OK, buffet breakfast is also OK. No designated parking and staff is giving misleading information about parking, 2 guest on 1 day experience the same problem receiving a parking fine from Hengelo Gemeente costing 81 euro. And when I complain the morning that I got the fine, reception said that they cannot help me and even blame me that why I did not check it myself.

Great Experience

The room was very clean and organised. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I was trying to get a room in Hengelo after midnight. The gentleman who let me in was very nice and helpful, and got me the room very fast. There was some snacks for free in the room as well.

massive upgrade in lobby since last visit in 2018 clean tidy and great staff as ever rooms tidy and clean good value parking and new shop part is helpful when you need a soft drink and a late night snack great location for exploring twente region

Nice family hotel.

The common area is great to Spend time together. Nice games, comfortable chairs. The rooms are spacious, however dated and very low lit. The safety is very good as access is controlled by the room key. Breakfast is varied and delicious. Quite a few chooses, with fresh bread.

Enjoyed Hengelo

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hengelo. The City Hotel was lovely; clean and welcoming and all staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the train station so easy to get around and Hengelo was a nice town
