City Hengelo is easy to reach by car and train. Ideal for a weekend away in the heart of Twente. Certainly if you really fancy a shop till you drop. In Hengelo itself there are surprisingly attractive and original shops, which are included in the special shopping walk route (highly recommended!). But there’s also perfect shopping in various cities just over the German border. You can cycle to your heart’s content in the Twente countryside. Pump up the tyres to cycle over undulating roads, through ancient forests, along meadows, fens and streams.
Very Poor breakfast
very poor breeakfast, a shame for otherwise a nice hotel. Some other thing: generally customer do not have time for reviews. Why to set, then a minimum of 200 characters, as mandatory (otherwise you cannot place the review)? It should be a mistake
Good value for money
In the city centre; convenient parking very close. Very good breakfast (extended, excellent coffee, nice staff). Clean & spacious rooms. Internet is fast enough to be operational and free. No experience with dinner food
Convenient to rail and city center
We had a nice clean room. Hotel staff was not overly friendly, but staff was not unfriendly either. I would just say that compared to staff in the several other hotels we stayed at in the The Netherlands, I would rate the staff as the least friendly, but we found staff at all other hotels in the country to be very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice suite. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large. Coffee was in the room. Hotel has two lifts. Breakfast was average. Hotel is very well-located to city center and to rail station. The large city library is just across the street.
