City Hengelo is easy to reach by car and train. Ideal for a weekend away in the heart of Twente. Certainly if you really fancy a shop till you drop. In Hengelo itself there are surprisingly attractive and original shops, which are included in the special shopping walk route (highly recommended!). But there’s also perfect shopping in various cities just over the German border. You can cycle to your heart’s content in the Twente countryside. Pump up the tyres to cycle over undulating roads, through ancient forests, along meadows, fens and streams.
Really good Hotel
The Hotel gave us a warm welcome. The Room was clean and big, our dog had his own bed and his own Bowl for Food. The first time, normally you just pay for a dog and get nothing. Breakfast-Buffet had everything we needed and wanted.
Annoying air conditioner
It was very annoying with a noisy, centrally adjusted air conditioned room, that is too cold. It’s a pity since the location of the hotel is very good, and the staff were very nice. So a bad night sleep.
Location is excellent very near to the railway station and breakfast is great and nice. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Room are clean and neat. Near to the market area. Internet is good and taxi facilities are available.
